Plano, Texas is a city located within Collin County, and is considered the ninth largest (in terms of population) in the entire state of Texas. Plano can be found inside of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. First settled in the 1840s, the Plano area featured a sawmill, and a gristmill, making it a top draw for jobs in the region, not to mention the addition of a store which attracted more people to the area and encouraged stimulation of the local economy.
